ABC announced on Tuesday April 2nd that 911 has been renewed for Season 8 at ABC.
911 Season 8 will premiere on September 26th
Created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear, 9-1-1 is produced by 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios, in association with Ryan Murphy Television and Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision.
Spoilers from the premiere
Ryan Guzman recently revealed to TVLine that Eddie and Christopher likely won’t be seen together in the first episode of Season 8. This follows Christopher’s departure in the Season 7 finale. Understandably, Christopher needs time to process his feelings after discovering his dad’s affair with his deceased mom’s lookalike.
Season 8 of 9-1-1 also brings a major shift in leadership. The Season 7 finale introduced Gerrard as the new captain of the 118, a development that surprised fans. However, Peter Krause remains optimistic. He shared with TVLine, “I like them butting up against each other. I could see Gerrard having a real grudge against Bobby for getting all this positive attention after he took over Gerrard’s firehouse, and now he wants it back.”
