Martin Henderson, Nathan Riggs in Grey’s Anatomy, is in the middle of filming Virgin River 4, Netflix’s honeymoon that was recently revamped by the streamer until its fifth season.
The New Zealand actor has been shooting season 4 since last summer and will continue to be busy on set for several weeks to come. The two new chapters renewed by Netflix will be shot together, without interruption.
Where we left off with Grey’s Anatomy
Abigail Spencer (AKA Dr. Megan Hunt) made her big comeback at Gray Sloan Memorial Hospital for Grey’s Anatomy season 18.
The last time we saw Hunt, who is the little sister of Dr. Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) who also served in the United States Army, she moved to California with her adopted son Farouk and his partner, Dr. Nathan Riggs (Martin Henderson).
But in the first episode of the new season of the medical drama, Megan confessed that she broke up with Nathan, in order to confirm the final departure of Martin Henderson.
Martin Henderson in Virgin River
Martin Henderson has been in the cast of Virgin River since the first season. In the cast is together with the protagonist Alexandra Breckenridge and the other faces of the series Tim Matheson, Colin Lawrence, Lauren Hammersley.
This is his first long-term commitment after spending two seasons in Grey’s Anatomy between 2015 and 2017: entered the scene in the twelfth as a potential new love interest of the protagonist Meredith Gray, Dr. Nathan Riggs came out in the fourteenth finding the lost love with Meghan Hunt, revived after a decade of imprisonment in Iraq.
Martin Henderson, speaking in a video on social media, stated that the new seasons 4 and 5 “will come out sooner or later, maybe not so soon …”, hinting that the horizon for the debut of Virgin River 4 on Netflix could slip to next year.
“But anyway, we are in the middle of the fourth season,” the actor said, referring to the production of the new episodes, currently underway in Canada.
