Present, past, and future. All the events of STARZ’s historical-fantasy drama, Outlander, revolve around these three timelines, sometimes even confusing us. And you, Outlander fans, how much do you remember about the backstory of our favorite protagonists, Claire, Jamie, Brianna and Roger? Find out with our new quiz!

In 1945 Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe), a World War II nurse, returned to her husband Frank (Tobias Menzies) after the fight ended. The two leave for the Highlands on the occasion of their “second” honeymoon. During their stay in Inverness, Claire mysteriously travels back in time to Scotland in 1743, thanks to a stone circle, called Craigh na Dun.

The woman finds herself in an unknown world, where her life is constantly in danger. An ancestor of her husband, Captain Jonathan “Black Jack” Randall (Tobias Menzies), tries to rape her, but the woman gets rescued by Murtagh Fitzgibbons (Duncan Lacroix), who leads her to the MacKenzie clan, living in Castle Leoch. During her stay in MacKenzie territory, Claire meets Jamie (Sam Heughan), a young warrior who’s a wanted man by the Redcoats for theft and nephew of the laird Colum MacKenzie (Gary Lewis). Jamie will open himself up with her by telling all about himself and his past, and this will win over our time traveling nurse. There it begins a unimaginable experience that will change her life forever…
