Hallmark’s The Way Home — the network’s first new original series in almost seven years — has been renewed for season 3.
The pickup comes ahead of this Sunday’s penultimate episode, with the Season 2 finale slated for March 31 at 9/8c; Season 3 will premiere in January 3rd, 2025.
“Once again, our cast, writers and entire crew have used their impressive talents to create a story that is just as compelling and addictive as the first season,” Lisa Hamilton Daly, Executive Vice President of Programming for Hallmark Media, said in a statement. “We’re grateful to the fans who are so passionate about the series and can’t wait for them to see what – and when – is ahead for Season 3.”
Added Hallmark Media VP of Development Kelly Garrett: “Heather Conkie, Alexandra Clarke and Marly Reed continue to blow us away with the cleverly crafted story they’ve created and careful thought they put into every single detail. While some questions will be answered by the end of this season, the Landrys’ journey is far from over and there’s much more to tell.”
Synopsis
The series follows three generations of Landry women who embark on a journey to find their way back to each other while learning important lessons about their family’s past. The cast of the multigenerational family drama includes MacDowell (Maid), Leigh (Supergirl), Evan Williams (Blonde), Sadie Laflamme-Snow (The Apprentice), Alex Hook (I Am Frankie), Al Mukadam (Pretty Hard Cases, The Detail), Jefferson Brown (Masters of Romance, Slasher) and David Webster (Luckiest Girl Alive, In the Dark).
When TvLine grilled Sadie Laflamme-Snow earlier this year about the Casey tease in the Season 2 finale, she shared that she has “lots of theories” about Casey’s ties to the Landry family. “We saw that Casey has the ring that was given to Alice at the beginning of Season 2. There’s definitely some connection there to the marriage between Kat and Brady,” Laflamme-Snow said. “I won’t go further into anything. I don’t want to spoil it, but I theorize as much as the fans do.”
Jefferson Brown Teases Surprises in The Way Home Season 3
In our recent interview, Jefferson Brown offered an intriguing glimpse into the highly anticipated The Way Home Season 3. He shared his excitement about the deepened exploration of relationships, particularly between Colton and Del, teasing that fans will uncover even more layers to these beloved characters. While careful not to spoil anything, Jefferson emphasized the show’s unwavering heart and humanity, promising that the essence of the first two seasons remains alive and thriving in the upcoming season. With surprises in store and a strong connection among the cast and crew, he assured viewers they won’t be disappointed by what’s ahead.
