Rai officially released the expected schedule for the 2021/2022 season, also giving us the first official details on the fiction Noi. It is the remake of the successful American 20th Television (part of Disney Television Studios) TV series This is us, starring Lino Guanciale and Aurora Ruffino.
Noi is the story of the Peirò family with the heads of the family Pietro and Rebecca.
Everyone has a family. And every family has a story. We are the story of the Peirò family through the decades: from Pietro (Lino Guanciale) and Rebecca (Aurora Ruffino), a young couple who in the 80s faces the challenge of raising three children to this day, in which Claudio, Caterina and Daniele seek their way to happiness. It all began in 1984, in Turin. It’s Pietro’s birthday. Rebecca, who is waiting for triplets, begins to have labor pains. It’s a difficult birth. One of the twins doesn’t survive. Peter, who promised himself and his wife that they’ll go out of that hospital with three children, makes a life-changing decision: to adopt Daniel (Livio Kone), a black baby boy that someone dumped outside a firehouse.
In the past, we follow Pietro (Lino Guanciale) and Rebecca (Aurora Ruffino), new parents, in the difficult task of raising three babies, then three children and finally three teenagers. From episode to episode, we will discover them more and more in balance and divided between the love for the family and the need not to sacrifice their dreams.
In the present Claudio (Dario Aita), Caterina (Claudia Marsicano) and Daniele (Livio Kone) seek their own path. Daniele, a happy husband and father and a successful man, decides to look for his biological father; Claudio leaves a well-established career as a television actor to discover his theatrical talent, while Caterina, alone and overweight, decides to lose weight to regain self-esteem. Digging into the past and present, each of them will face the pains and secrets they didn’t want or could face up to that moment. Discovering themselves vulnerable and at the same time stronger than they believed.

The cast includes Lino Guanciale, Aurora Ruffino, Dario Aita, Claudia Marsicano, Livio Kone, Angela Ciaburri, Leonardo Lidi, Flavio Furno, Timothy Martin, Francesca Agostini, Liliana Fiorelli, Giordano Faggiano, Massimo Wertmuller. Luca Ribuoli will be directing the show. Produced by Riccardo Tozzi, Giovanni Stabilini, Marco Chimenz, Claudia Aloisi for Cattleya featuring Rai Fiction.
The “This is us” remake is a family drama and it will air in 6 nights.
